1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Breve website, applications, and all related services. By registering for an account, submitting a query, or otherwise using Breve, you agree to be bound by these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy, all of which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information current. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access or use.

3. Description of Service

Breve is an AI-powered briefing assistant that generates structured summaries, explanations, and daily briefings based on topics you provide. The service may include free features and premium features that require payment. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

Breve is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Generated content is produced by artificial intelligence and should not be relied upon as legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

4. License and Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Breve for your personal or internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, lease, lend, or exploit any portion of the service without our express written permission.

5. User Content and Input

You retain ownership of any text, topics, or other content you submit to Breve. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service. You represent that your submissions do not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

6. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use Breve lawfully and responsibly. Without limiting the foregoing, you may not:

  • Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data connected to Breve;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks, including through automated scripts, bots, or denial-of-service attacks;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code of the service;
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any individual or entity;
  • Use the service to generate or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable;
  • Circumvent any usage limits, access controls, or payment requirements.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your account, removing content, and reporting illegal conduct to law enforcement.

7. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Premium access is provided through a one-time license purchase, not a recurring subscription. All fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable once the license is activated, except where required by law or in the event of a failed transaction where payment was deducted. We use Razorpay to process payments, and by completing a purchase you agree to Razorpay's terms and privacy practices in addition to ours.

We may change our pricing at any time. Any price change will apply to new purchases and will not affect licenses already activated.

8. Intellectual Property

Breve and its contents, including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and visual design, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our branding or content except as necessary to use the service.

9. Disclaimers and AI-Generated Content

Briefings and summaries are generated automatically using third-party language models and search sources. While we strive for accuracy, completeness, and relevance, we cannot guarantee that generated content is always correct, up-to-date, or unbiased. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it. We expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Breve and its operators, affiliates, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Breve and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Breve at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease, but all provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Breve operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, at our discretion.

14. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of Breve after the effective date of any revised terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
